This model of the Short Tucano RAF trainer was made from a free plan given away with RCM&E magazine. The plan was for electric power with a Speed 600 motor but I chose to alter the plan slightly to allow the fitting of an SC12 engine, I had to widen the fuselage slightly to accomodate the motor mount and I fully sheeted the wings with 1/16th balsa for strength. The model flies very fast and is very manouverable with only ailerons, elevator and throttle control, no undercarriage so a hand launch is needed to get it away.
