Flair Ryan PT-20
The graceful lines of the Ryan can be seen here, it
really is a gorgeous looking airplane. The model is a semi-scale model of the
US Army 2 seat trainer and was bought already made and only required the radio
and engine to be fitted. Originally it had a four stroke but I opted for an
Irvine53 two stroke. After a mishap on landing (those spats tripped it up)
some repair work was needed on the glassfibre fuselage and spats so a repaint
was in order. I chose a car silver basecoat and laquered it after to give that
lovely silver finish, if you've seen the Flair grey colour you'll see the
difference it makes.
