This is young Henry Wilson who's dad John has left him in charge of his model, an ARC Jupiter. Henry seems to have the starting procedure off pat after watching dad do it....... John has the glow safely out of Henry's reach....... for now!

What we have here is not the coalman...... but Dick Wickham fetching the field equipment from what we used to term as the "store" which was in fact an old coal bunker, positioned near the flying field pits at the old Ellough flying site. Much care had to taken or you could just fall in..... never to be seen again.

 Or is he just diving for cover?.... after someone has called "deadstick".

The photo on the left is of a couple of our members clowning around at a past event where the public were in attendance. This is the only picture we have of this event (thankfully), see if you can recognise the members in question?

Centre of the picture is young Matthew Haslam undergoing some flying training from Roy Shelley. Matthew suffers from severe learning disability but despite this he loves anything to do with aeroplanes and that includes models. He joined the club and is seen regularly at the field either with his mum Jane or dad Rob.

Matthew having finished his bit of training heads back to let mum know how he got on.
