We welcome new members of all ages and abilities..
We pride ourselves as being a very friendly club
We have some top fliers, and some decidedly "average" fliers.
Our main object is to enjoy ourselves..."Have some fun" if you like.
We aim to provide a safe and friendly club environment for flying powered radio control model aircraft - both fixed wing and helicopters, IC and Electric
We offer free training, using the buddy lead system, for people new to the hobby. The objective is to get all members to reach BMFA "A" certificate level, after which they can fly solo. Training is by Club Instructors recognized by the BMFA, and we have BMFA approved Examiners available, so that tests are carried out at our own field, where the candidate feels at home.
New members requiring training are invited to attend our flying sessions with their model and request help from any of the instructors or any other members at the site. In this way you will gain experience and proceed to the ‘A’ standard.
Potential members are invited to "Have a go" with our club trainers. Three "Free" sessions are offered, and after that, just a small payment for fuel.
Our monthly club meetings are held at the British Legion, Beccles where there is time to socialize in the bar before a meeting. Full details here
I have recently taken over this web site from Graham Wilkes, who originally conceived and developed it.
Over the years, it has grown and grown, with hundreds..(thousands?) of images, and now could do with some minor reorganization.
I hope you will approve of the new navigation menus.
In order to get it up and running, I have had to temporarily omit many of the photos Graham has collected over the years.
Please bear with me, they will all be included in due course, and as time permits. The only web page currently available in the Photo Gallery is the Building Board, which I believe is the most popular. I have now started on the "Events" Section..5th Jan.
Regards
Bob
This month's photo is John Straw's Mew Gull, purchased at a Bring and Buy. Although they have a reputation for being unstable at landing speed, the maiden flight was quite successful
